Remove Gravy Stains and Greasy Food Stains

If your clothing is stained with gravy, mashed potatoes, or any other greasy Thanksgiving food, we’d recommend this method:

  1. Blot the area with a clean white cloth to remove as much of the stain as possible.
  2. Spray on a stain remover and let it sit as long as recommended.
  3. Wash the garment in cold water with mild detergent.
  4. If the stain persists, soak the garment in a solution of one part vinegar and two parts water for 30 minutes.
  5. Rinse the garment well and wash it again in cold water with a mild detergent.
  6. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 3-5 until it disappears.
